CAS495 Love U

Hey there!

Sharing a card I made for the Clean and Simple challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.  The challenge was 1/3 color.  A LOT of white space left.

I had just watched a video on youtube about using crystal powders with your gel press.  I decided it looked like fun and now I have several papers.  I used one of those here on my card.

I die cut the word love (Concord & 9th) from black cardstock and then cut the U (simon says stamp) from the background I created.  I added some unicorn gems (Honey Bee Stamps) and called it done.

Oh, I did round off the top right corner too to add a finishing touch to all that white space, it kind of gives it a boundary.

Thanks for popping in! :)

This card features a new Cover a Card, I DO love my CAC's!!!!  This one is called Pinecones.  I stamped them in versamark ink, then used my Pearl ex powders to get the shimmer.  I stamped the Bell tower over the top.  This was all mounted on black and adhered to a white card base!

This second card I used the Wintery Day stamp and inked it in Versafine Clair, blue.  I stamped a Starry Sky in the same blue ink, added some small baubles and finished it like the above card!

Impression Obsession DT Thursday with Kelli Jo

Hello everyone!

Today it's my turn to share with you an extra creation.  I have a SUPER fun card and unbelievably simple to recreate!  I was recently at a stamping retreat with the AWESOMEST people, Jeanne and Vicki from the DT.  I have been on line friends with these two stamping royalty people for YEARRRRS and FINALLY got to meet Vicki!!!!  I met Jeanne 2 years ago at another retreat.  ANYWAY..... the technique can be found here.  Let's get on to the card I created AT retreat because I planned ahead in my packing!  YAY ME!!!!

My card features two dies.  That's it.  The City Landscape Layers and the Best Day Ever die.  I die cut the sentiment 3 times using "stick it" on the back and adhered them together for more dimension. I added some washi tape that was a gift from my friend Ceal and some older Stampin Up paper pumpkin embellishments.  Image was matted on black then added to an A2 card base!   It's kind of cool how the colors make the cityscape look Arizona-ish! :)

Thank you for popping in and leaving me some notes!

Today's hop list:

Hello friends!!!!  It's time for a new challenge over at Impression Obsession.  This time the name of the game is "It's getting hot in here!" (Warm colors) Well I think warm Summer colors means BRIGHT colors.  So I created this little simple sentiment only card using some retired SU papers, ribbon and then colored the sentiment called "Happy to You" C19344 and coated it with a couple layers of clear gel pen. A few matte doodlebug gems that I coated with Wink of Stella and it was DONE!  See, you don't have to be all fancy to play along or to make a great card!!! Simple is good! :)

Make sure that you visit the team blogs for some stunners!!!!

IO Challenge Oh My Stars

Hello friends and Welcome to another challenge from Impression Obsession!  This weeks challenge is "Oh My Stars"

Yesterday was the Birthday of the US Flag, US Army and President Trump!  What a day!!!!!

4th of July is my favorite holiday.  Anything Patriotic is a DEFINITE purchase for me.  SO, when I saw these stamps and dies from Impression Obsession I HAD to have them!!!!!  HAD! TO!

The first card I have uses dies only, well I used a cover a card Cloud, but the white craft ink didn't show up so I'll stick with the "just dies" story!

I used the Tim Holtz Oxide Broken China ink, spritzed with water and then added my dies. DIE554-T US Flag and DIE546-X Land of the Free are the dies used. I created the flag in one dimension.  For the star area I kept the stars in the white box that cuts out, used my Stampin Up glue pen and placed it in the open area.  I let it sit for a minute with a block on top.  I then took my piercing tool, carefully lifted the corner and one by one placed my piercing tool on each star to hold them down while I peeled the white panel off.  I then took and ran the die through my machine with red and blue papers.  I popped out all of the stars and laid the blue panel over the white stars, perfectly lined up.  MUCH easier than trying to hold onto those itty bitty stars. ;)  Red stripes were then put in place.  YAY! The words are self explanatory!

For my next card I used the K1021 - Patriotic Outhouse for my image!   I stamped the image using IO Hybrid ink in Black, colored with Copic markers, tore around the image, then took Aged Paper Oxide ink and added it to the edges.  I then sprayed the ink heavily with water and blotted with tissue to lift it some.  I used UTEE in clear twice, popped it in the freezer then pulled it out for a cracked glass appearance.  Swiped some TH Oxide Walnut over the cracks and wiped off the extra.  I stamped CC041 Distressed Lines on my card base and used my SUPER adhesive to attach my image panel.

I have switched to only the IO Hybrid black for ALL of my stamping needs.  It's perfect for Copic, Watercolors, Pencil, Distressing.... if you can do it with ink you can do it with the new IO Hybrid inks!!!!  LOVE THEM!!!!!

There ya have em!  Two SUPER Patriotic cards to celebrate this BEAUTIFUL Country!!!!

Make sure you pop in to see all the teams cards for this challenge!  Some TRUE Beauties!!!!

Kraftin Kimmie Wonderful Wednesday

Well HELLO Krafty Friends!!!!  It's time for a Wonderful Wednesday challenge over at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps!

Today I used the newly released At The Beach stamp set!

Watercolor is all the rage right now and I have not quite mastered my patience on it, so I cheated and used my watercolor background stamp from Stampin Up along with my SU Markers and a water spritzer.  Colored the stamp with markers, spritzed with water and then stamped.  I then took the At The Beach stamp set and inked it up in Memento Tuxedo Black and stamped it over the top.  I took one word from the sentiment Sand! Surf! Sun! colored it with my marker and stamped it onto a wooden piece from my stash.  Clean, Simple and Beautiful!

Make sure you play along and link up to our Challenge!   Don't forget the JUNE GIMMIE KIMMIE KIT is still going on and Kimmie has been slipping little goodies into orders as  a SURPRISE!!!!!!

That's it for me!!!!

Take care and LOVE ONE ANOTHER!!!!!

Kraftin Kimmie Challenge: Embossing

Hey Krafty Peeps!  It's time for a new challenge over at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps!!!!!

Today's challenge is to use embossing!!!  I have always loved this form of embossing and have never really been able to figure out the proper way to do it... until this past weekend at OnStage with Stampin Up.... we were told to ink up the side of the embossing folder that is the largest.  With the folder closed you will see one side that is larger than the other, ink that one!!!!!!

SO, I came home and tried it.  Literally a 5 minute card and that's because I decided to change my matting color and ink for sentiment after stamping it onto a piece of paper and realizing it appeared red not the Strawberry Slush I love!  lol

SO.... here is my embossing card using Kraftin Kimmie Stamps newly released set called "New Christmas Cheer" by Becky!!!!!

Thanks for popping in!  and remember....

Kraftin Kimmie Saturday Challenge~Nature

Hey Krafty Peeps!  It's time for another challenge over at Kraftin Kimmie!!!  This weeks challenge is NATURE!!!!  SO.... I thought HEY!  I am trying to get a BUNCH of stuff created in a SHORT amount of time, so I decided to grab the Holiday Trinket set and get busy....

The image I used has snowflakes in it!  A-HA!  NATURE!!!!  So I took it just a step further and used the AWESOME Glamour Dust glitter that Kimmie carries and created a blanket of SNOW across my SNOWFLAKE trinket!  lol  100% NATURE!!!!

This card was SUPER fast and easy!  Another great idea for mass production!  Simply ink up the trinket, I actually used Versamark ink then directly into my Stampin Up ink and stamped it on some Whisper White CS.  I allowed for the ink to dry and smashed my Versamark ink pad all over the top of the CS.  Check frequently for ink transfer.... if this happens just *smash* the ink pad onto scrap paper.... I then took some Heat n Stick powder sprinkled it all over the Versamark ink, tapped off the excess, heat it with my heat gun until melted.  This creates a sticky background.  I sprinkled the Glamour Dust on top of the sticky CS, tapped off the excess and then hit it again with my heat gun.  This second heat application warms up the sticky again and seals in the glitter.  You can rub your hand over the top and nothing comes off!  I have a TON of Heat n Stick!  It's the bomb glittery!

A bit of gold cording and I have a BEAUTIFUL NATURE card!!!  :)

OK hop on over to Kraftin Kimmie stamps and check out all the trinkets there that make SUPER awesome CAS cards for all seasons and reasons!!!  This one is Holiday Trinkets remember! ;)

KJ

FUN right??  Yes, I just HAD to get this little tree with plans to use it for last release then guess who forgot I had it... HA!
