Old is New with Impression Obsession

Sometimes we get so busy with new released stamps that we forget about our old favorites. The Impression Obsession team has set aside a couple days a month to share some new projects using some great older stamps.
You can see the list of today’s participants on the Impression Obsession blog!

Today I created a rainbow valentines card using "You're in my heart" stamp set and IO hybrid inks in Cherry, Orange, Canary, Shamrock, Navy and Royal Purple.

Impression Obsession - Happy Haunting

Hello there friends!  It's time for another challenge over at the Impression Obsession blog!  This challenge is Happy Haunting.  SO, I just had to use this ADORABLE clear set called Monster Mash.  There are several monsters to choose from and some fun sentiments, but I had to use a favorite of mine called Be My Boo!

I created my card on a panel of Tim Holtz watercolor paper.  I sprinkled Infusions Slime and spritzed with water, then I came in with a Nuance powder that had a similar limey green color in it and spritzed it.  I added a stencil over the top when it was dried with black distress oxide ink in Black soot.  I stamped my sentiment in the same ink.  My monster was stamped in IO Hybrid Royal Purple ink and colored with copics.  His shoes were glittered up with Tonic shimmer pen and I added 3mm google eyes and then covered those with liquid lacquer.  Some random Nuvo drops added here and there and then decided to bling up the "boo" with the tonic shimmer pen also.

Thanks for popping in and have a great week!

IO Challenge Foodie Fun

Hello there!!!!  It's time for NEW CHALLENGE!!!!!

Today the challenge is to create something foodie!  I created 2 projects for you.  the first one is a mixed media page for my disc journal.  I used the stamp set le soleil for my page.  I colored the main images including the margarita on ice *foodie* and fussy cut them and adhered them to the page.

For my second project I created a fun little card using my io hybrid inks like distress inks.  I smooshed onto my craft mat, spritzed with water and applied with a blending pad.  I stamped the image from the Let's BBQ clear set and added some pearl drops and clear gel to the big splotch and bottles!  FUN right??!!

Here are the other challenge cards for you to check out!

IO Challenge ~ I Adore You

Hey Friends!  It's time for a new challenge over at Impression Obsession~  Today's is I Adore You.  This little girl reminds me of my daughter.  Feisty and Lovable all together.  This stamp is D19752 Girl Power.    The background was created with a background I made, I believe with Nuance Powders.  I stamped a new cover a card CC303 Spring Garden over the top and then added some red gems for the flower centers.  I think that the Cover a Cards are THE funnest stamps to use.  SO versatile.  Quick coloring on the little girl and that was it!  BOOM!  SUPAH FAST!!!!!

Impression Obsession Designer Spotlight

Hello IO Friends!!!! It's my turn to be in the Designer Spotlight!!!!  WOOT!!!!!

I'm sure that everyone is still in the Holiday hoopla so let's create a SUPER fast and easy card, it uses four (4) stamps but is SUPER simple.  With the help of my MISTI, I used D20374 Holiday Bow, F17201 Pine Branch, F20371 Painted Bell and F20366 Silver Bells.  The DIE594-J Season's Greetings which I cut twice, once in red glitter paper and once in black and overlayed them a bit off to get the shadow.

Impression Obsession Hybrid Inks Turf, Shamrock, Cherry, Black along with some wink of Stella.  I used my bone folder to create texture in the ribbon by curling it.

I hope you enjoyed this card and it was SUPER easy!

IO Challenge ~ Invitations

Hello Impression Obsession friends!!!!  Today starts a new challenge and you are "Invited" to play LOL  #seewhatIdidthere  This challenge is about invitations of all kinds.  I created TWO cards for you!!!!

The first one uses Boo Balloons (WP774) the matching dies (DIE570-Y) and the Let's Party (CL710) sentiment set!  The mask was stamped in IO Hybrid inks, heat n stick then glitter.  Some green wire was wrapped around the card base.  I then added a handle to the main mask that was also glittered some more wire for a tassel and some small pearls.

Card number 2 uses the Painted Pumpkin (F20347), Cup of Sweet Succulents (CL775)  there are also dies that match and the Halloween Words (CC217) along with IO Hybrid inks.  Also making an appearance is the Gift Card Pocket Die (DIE604-XX).

The cover a card was stamped up with IO Hybrid inks, masking off the 31 (peeking under folder).  I then took a smaller card pack from my stash and ran it through using the GC die.  Stamped the Painted Pumpkin on the front, then added an invitation card  after stamping a succulent and fussy cutting around for the "pull here" handle.  Invitation deets can go on that and then a quick little note inside.

Thanks for popping in!  Here's a list of the other team members creating today!

IO Challenge - Halloween

Hello Friends!!!  Welcome to another Impression Obsession Challenge.  Today we are showcasing Halloween/ Halloween-ish cards!!!!  I created a couple for you using some new goodies and of course the AWESOME IO Hybrid inks.

For this card I used the IO Hybrid inks Peony, Lime and Violet by smooshing them onto my TH mat added a mist of water and using it like a water color, I then stamped my Halloween Words Cover a Card in IO Hybrid black.  I die cut the Halloween witch line die 4 times and glued them together to get a bigger affect.  It was then placed onto a Copper foil circle.

For this card I couldn't resist these SUPER cute BOO! Balloon stamps (that have matching dies) !!!  I used the IO Hybrid inks again and then covered them with heat n stick and then some mica flakes and clear glitter.  Like a little party celebration on the card! :)

Here are my fellow design team members playing along today!!!!

Impression Obsession Challenge

Hey friends!  It's time for another challenge from Impression Obsession!  The challenge today is Orange and Turquoise.  WOW right???  lol  I decided to create my card using Solid Daisy cover a card (CC290) and inked it up using my Orange ink from the IO Hybrid ink line.  I can't say enough about these inks.  I literally busted out my MISTI to stamp with and didn't even need to stamp again.  It was PERFECT first go!!!!  **woohoo**

I then decided the sentiment Sassy Pants  (D1728) was perfect with this color combo!  I rounded off opposite corners and then applied a bit of ribbon to the corner with my SU mini stapler!  The centers of the flowers were filled in with my Nuvo Crystal drops in Turquoise glitter.

OK well that's it for me!!!  Make sure you join me, I gotta see what the rest of the team came up with using this color combo!  I really like it!  Don't be afraid of it, come play!!!!

Thanks for popping in and enjoy the view!

Today I have a card featuring Black Arched Cat along with the sentiment Tis Halloween.
I stamped my images using IO Hybrid inks in Orange and Black

I stamped the images, then smashed my versa mark ink pad over the card panel, applied Heat n Stick and heated until melted.  I then covered the panel in clear glitter, tapped off the excess then heated it again for just a few minutes to remelt the heat n stick to grab ahold of the glitter.  Some designer paper for a "belly band" of sorts and sentiment adhered over that. Super easy and cute card with bling and no bling transfer!

My little project for you today features the COFFEE TO GO set!!!!  I'm a HUGE coffee lover and coffee stamps are my achilles heel! LOL!!!  SO I created this using an 8x10 flat board canvas, added some powders and paint to create the background.  While the paint was still wet, I dry stamped the Cover a Card BARK  I then stamped the coffee cups in a rainbow of colors, fussy cut them and adhered them to the canvas.  I added the Serendipity stamp after tearing around it and then coated it with a clear sealant spray.  While wet I sprinkled some glitter on top, because, well, GLITTER!!!!

Just in case:  here's the complete list of DT blogs!
