Speedy Fox and Friends~Heat Embossing

It's time for another challenge.  I oopsied last weeks!!! :(  Glad to see my team mates held me up though with their amazing projects!!!!! ;)  THANKS PEEPS!!!!

OK, this week it's about embossing, HEAT Embossing.  THAT is what got me started in this CARAZY Stamping world.  GOLD EP!!!!  I still love watching that stuff melt!!!!!  I decided that I wanted to share with you a technique that has a name, just don't know what it is.  I call it Smash Embossing!  lol  Here is how I did it and TOTALLY nailed the line up....I was worried that I would be off a tad but that is the beauty of clear stamps.... you can see where you are headed before laying the stamp down!

I stamped my image (Brick Wall BG Stamp) onto Express blending CS and colored it with Touch Twin markers in Brick Brown and Old Red.  I then covered the entire image in Versamark ink and then Tim Holtz Clear EP (embossing powder) heated and repeated 4 times.  Now, before I heated the 4th layer I took my stamp and inked it up with Versamark ink as a release agent because quickly **and I mean QUICKLY** after heating that last layer of EP you stamp your image into the hot soft gooey Embossing powder that is glaze now.  Press fairly hard (depending on the depth of the stamp) and then lift it off.  Guess what?  My stamp stayed on my block too!  YAY!  lol  Here is what it looked like.... see the grooves of "bricks" ???

Now I went ahead and completed mounting my embossed image onto matting and created my card.  I used the sentiment from this set and then took a filigree jewelry finding added a sparklette to the center and some cream lace.  The card base is Kraft to go with that natural relaxed feeling.  and Here is the finished card! :)

Now... head on over to the Marks Finest Blog and play with us make sure you link up!!! :)
