Sunday Inspirational Post

Hey Peeps!  It's time again for a Inspirational Post for Loves Rubberstamps.  SO... what could be more inspiring then NEW TOYS???  OK, NOT "new" but I am using them for the first time after watching a tutorial over on SCS.  Yes Twinkling H2O's!  I new that the blimmer (bling + glimmer) would be perfect for a Valentines Day card and I am wanting to get a card entered into the Impression Obsession Challenge I figured I'd knock down 2 birds with 1 card! ;)

I am using the Impression Obsession stamp Love Chandelier (2376) for my image.  It was stamped and colored.  Then I mounted that on top of a piece of Water Color paper that was colored with Garnet Twinkling H2O.  some lace and fluff and this card is done... My DP is from Echo Park the new line called "Love Story".... beautiful papers!!!!

Brain Break

I had to give myself a brain break and took on a couple challenges over at SCS.  The first one was Free4All using the resist embossing which I paired with the Twinkling H2O's tutorial... and I also completed the Inspiration Challenge.  This is my Inspiration piece

I used the Stampin Up! set called Postage Due, Mediterranean Sea Twinkling H2O and Watercolor paper.  Matted on Bazzill CS and some SU! Pearls added in the corner!

Fun Friday with YNS!!!!

Hey Peeps!!!  We are celebrating 3 years of Your Next Stamp and we are visiting stamps you can find in the store.  I LOVE these silly penguins and was feeling ready to play in the snow, perhaps it's the TEASE of snow we had the other day, it snowed and by noon it was GONE!  Yes, I was TOTALLY bummed... I LOVE SNOW.... and apparently so does THIS guy!!!!  This is called Sledding Fun Penguin, and I stamped him on some CS and then again on a piece of scrap CS, fussy cut and then mounted the fussy cut image onto a Wobbler spring.  He TOTALLY goes in motion with the slightest movement!  LOL  I LOVE it, totally makes me giggle!!!  He was colored with Tim Holtz Distress inks using a water color pen.

Some glitter was put on the puffs and clumps of snow.

Loves RubberStamps featuring Saturated Canary

Hey Peeps!  It's time for a Sponsor challenge over at the Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog.  Laura from Loves RubberStamps has a TON of Saturated Canaries, I of course failed to get one in time for the challenge, BUT... Saturated Canary offered some freebies a few weeks ago on their blog.  I managed to snag 2 of them and LUCKY ME... one was this one called Latte!

I colored her up all fancy-ish with a grey tweed coat and FUN purple scarf and leg warmers.  She's got a Triple Venti Breve Caramel Macchiato in her lil hands... yummm..... I dug out the few scraps of my Lily Bee DP that I had left, it's pretty ragged that paper pack as it's purple, and I LOVE Purple!!!!!  I added a few pieces from a larger pearl bling to the sides and then a fun frilly little piece of ribbon I picked up at CKC in Bellevue, it is pretending to be SNOW! :)

Inspirational Sunday Bella Style

Hello Peeps!  It's time at the Loves RuberStamps to INSPIRE you all!!!!  I'm using the newest released yummy called The Three Amigas.  Laura has this for you, NOW!!!!! ;)

I went with a basic black and white them and then colored their dresses all happy and PARTY STYLE!!!!

Some blingy circles set behind the image to give it a pop and mimic the dots on the DP.  A bit of black lace and some curly sparkly ribbon tied in a bow.  Head on over to the blog and see the other Inspiring posts!

LOL!  I love this card, I was really leery of this set as I am not much of an animal kinda stamper but then inspiration hit.  ;)  Yep, I've felt like this... I'm sure you have also or at least KNOW someone who has!!!  The Background was stamped several times to cover the 4 x 5 1/4" piece of red cardstock, the stamp is clear which makes it a BREEZE to line up!  I added some wooden mustaches and colored them black as Scotties are known as Mustache dogs.  This masking is a very simple thing to do... try it! ;)

Today's card is a quick simple "punny" kind of card!!!  ;)  I masked off part of the sentiment and replaced the word Whisking with the actual Whisk! ;)  The set has quite a few ways to whip this baby into several fun cute cards!!!! :)

 

 

The Paper Loft Challenge 1

Hey Peeps!  I am popping in with a card I created for the Paper Loft Challenge.  I was finally able to locate this adorbs stamp set from Gina K, Vintage Chic.  I think it goes perfectly with this SUPER cute paper called Scrub Oak Valley from the Scattered Pine Mountain Collection. 

I added some fuzzy twine for texture and warmth and done!  a SUPER Sketch, and an AWESOME chance to be a Guest Designer for The Paper Loft!!

A Bit of Paper Piecing and this card is done!  I went with a striking black and white combo.  I added a large button and some striped black ribbon for a little "wow" factor! ;)

For my card today I have created a quick simple Friendship card. I got rid of my ticket corner punch awhile ago and decided that I would just use my hole punch to make that design, simple dimple! ;)  

  

 

It all started as a Dream...

Hey Peeps!

Today's Blog Post is all about ME! lol  I am revisiting my YEAR OF KJ on this post. I LOVE when I see people blog their favorite cards of the year and I decided to do the same thing but as a recap of my growth as a Stamper. (there is some EXCITING news at the VERY end)...

January it was said, was the Chinese "Year of the Dragon"... I remember posting on facebook, "To Hell with the Dragon, ITS YEAR OF KJ!!!!!

I had recently gotten an email that was helping me and it said, I needed to be more consistent....Yep!  I did, I needed to be more consistently ME!  I have picked up bits and pieces from Stamping peeps all over the SCS World, tips and tricks that are SO AWESOME.... but I was trying to BE them I think, all of them lol 

SO, it all started with an email from Frances and Cindy H.  They asked me to become part of the Crazy 4 Challenges Crew.... can you IMAGINE my TOTAL HAPPY???  What an AWESOME crew that is....

Along came March... I was emailed and asked if I would like to join the Marks Finest Papers a Heinrich Company Team.  I fell in love with MFP back when Faith started that company, and even though it's changed owners its STILL an AWESOME company to work for! 

In March, Carole let me know that Your Next Stamp was looking for Guest Designers, so I took a leap and threw my hat into the pile!  GUESS WHAT??  I was Guest Designer for April!!!!

Along comes May... I was invited to be a part of the Inky Impressions Design Team.... this card shows my FIRST EVER Digi Stamp... lol  I was TOTALLY at a loss how to play with Digi's... still am but am getting better... more on that in a minute! ;)

June brought the FIRST challenge team for Your Next Stamp... I was picked!!!! :)

July rolls around and what is that month???  YEP!  DARE TO GET DIRTY!!!!  Now I attempted to play last year but the thought of 4-6 cards A DAY was a BIT overwhelming for me... I think I actually completed 3 cards... IN A WEEK!  lol  This year???  Yeah, ummm, it's YEAR OF KJ Darn It!  I'm TOTALLY completing this challenge... so each day I got up and logged onto SCS and got my list, and set to work... Here are my day 1 challenge cards.... I also want to let you know that UNITY mailed me a prize package I won from playing along.... You will see a card in HYCCT that I used one of my winning stamps on day 1...

Here comes August.... I became part of a Lounge... lol  Drunken Stampers Challenge Blog ... Yep!  I KNEW my "spicy" attitude fit SOMEWHERE in the nice and sweet world of stampers!!!! :)

On to October.... Hope You Can Cling To!  It's all about Cancer and sending love and smiles to those at MD Anderson.... This was a BIT easier on the CS Supply... except pink! ;) there were 1-2 challenges a day for the entire month of October... I mailed off 37 cards/projects!  All cards/projects were mailed to MD Anderson to be used by visitors/patients and families to bring a ray of love to others... it was a VERY touching and emotional HAVE TO COMPLETE challenge... Cancer is a large ugly monster in this world and needs to be GONE!!!!  :(  There were SO many generous companies that donated prizes (how awesome) for stampers... I was SO fortunate to have won from The Cat's Pajama's!!!!  LOVE that Alma!!!!
Here are my week 1 cards for HYCCT

In October I also became part of the Challenge Team for LovesRubberStamps.  Here is my first LRS Team load...THIS is where I have been a digi peep... NOT a pro, just a peep! ;)

November brought me to the world or The Ribbon Carousel.... now I was already aware of these phenomenal carousels for storing ribbon, shoot I own 7 of them and my uber sweet friend Corinna is the Boss!  ;)


And now... NOW I can NOT begin to tell you just how FREAKING UNREAL this part is gonna be.... STILL makes me all breathless and heart just a pounding...

I AM A SPLITCOAST DIRTY GIRL!!!!!  Can you BELIEVE THAT???  **pinches self** 

Today December 15, marks my Introduction into the Dirt Pile... I have DREAMED of this day, like every other stamper in SCS History.  I vowed that I would NEVER change my avatar heading name until it said, Split Coast Dirty Dozen.. I would stay StazOn SplitCoast forever if need be!!!!

Here is my card for my DEBUT as a DIRTY GIRL!!!!!  Baby It's Cold Outside is our challenge this month.... oh wait... ;)  I can't show you my card... tee hee... here is a little secret... Go to SplitcoastStampers and join the Fan Club... $25 for a year membership, it allows you to see projects in the Dirty Dozen Galleries, play in the Dirty Dozen Challenges, and Fan Club Member Challenges... Seriously, that is a LOT of goodies for a mere $25/year!!!!

 Well, I will let you know THIS year my Stamping Motto is:
 Stamping (Gangnam)KJ STYLE!!!!!  hahahahah  what does that mean??  Well, HANG ON... you're about to find out!!! ;)  PS: Click that link, I LOVE that version!!! ;)

Yep, I know there are "rules" to stamping and I plan on following them but I also have my own .. well, MY style of stamping is NOT about Rules per say but keeping true to who I am.... KJ!  A BIT off at times, wacky, crazy but TRULY have a HUGE HEART.... I'd go to the ground for those I LOVE!!!!  ITS ON BABY!!!!! ;)

YNS Fun Friday Post

Hey there Peeps!!!  It's FRIDAY!!!!!  Can I get a lil woot woot!!!!!  ;)  With the Woot Woot I gotta also tell ya, it's time for Fun Friday Posts from Your Next Stamp!!!!

Today I am sharing some of the goodies I have made in my last bit of Christmas Push... you know that FRANTIC crafting to get things done??  I REALLY want to put tags on my gifts this year!  Typically names are written on packages with Sharpie Marker at my house... Yes I know, TACKY!!!!  Well, I'm kinda Tack-a-licious! hehe!

I little tags were SO simple to create and SUPER FAST!!!!  I used the Small Postcard die, the Fun Flower Scallop Die and the images are from the Snow Globe set.  I didn't stamp on my express blending CS as the images are small and not a lot of room for shading on them, so I stamped them on Bazzill Marshmallow CS.  Now when coloring they DID have a tendency to run a bit, so after coloring the images here is what I did to disguise those little oopsies **TIP** I covered the die cut colored image in Versamark ink, I then used Heat n Stick embossing powder, dumped off extra, heat it until clear (goes fast so careful) then I took some glitter and dumped it onto the image knocked off the extra and then hit it again with my heat gun to melt the glitter into the heat n stick.  All Sparkly and Festive looking!  AND it hides the little oopsies!!!! ;)

I took the little postage stamp die and stamped the To/From on it and made it dangle from the postcard for a bit more OOO AWWWW Factor!!! :)  Now head on over to the Your Next Stamp blog and see who else has a Fun Friday project for you to check out!!!!  I'll be heading there too, as there are always AWESOME tips from these Gals!!! :)

My papers are from LilyBee (last year) and some green corduroy brads/buttons from Stampin' Up with a bit of shipping string, yep that cheap stuck that gets fuzzies in your mouth when ya give it a lil lick to thread through the button holes....
I colored Terrance with my Touch Twin Markers, a bit of clear gel pen and then added a sparkly lily pad under him from Stickles... Seriously, I am Stickling everything lately... must be that Christmas Spirit I got goin on!!!! ;)  Anyway.. I have to also let you know, you'd be mad if I didn't, Whatnots Season Set 1 is  being released today too... (hint hint #2)
