Hello there and WELCOME to the June Blog Hop for Inky Impressions... Today we are showcasing some of the FABULOUS Charms that are carried by Nicole. YES! I KNOW... charms are not all that fun... well, I thought so too until I got a hold of the charms from Inky Impressions. They are TOP Quality peeps!!! Solid, shiny and CUTE!!! My fellow DT Inksters are showing you the different ways to use charms. Well sometimes you just have to make a charm, NOT a charm. I had COMPLETE intentions of actually hanging my charm from a BIG OLE BOW that I tied and it turned out PERFECT but alas... it covered up my Lili and her Pumpkin image. Ummm, NOT acceptable, so I turned the card around and had to improvise. How you say? Well, pull up a chair and listen up! ;) I grabbed my button snippers (yes, that's a technical name) and snipped off the ring. CAREFULLY on one end and then the other (close your eyes-that baby FLIES)....
I applied the charms to the scallop up parts like a brad with a mini micro dot. PERFECTION!!!! The DP I used is MME Lime Twist, SU Ribbon is behind the image peeking...some twine and itty bits of white gel pen for higlights. I also took the clear glaze pen and outlined the pumpkin to give it a bit of oomph!!! ;) Now head on over to my Inkin' Peep KERRY to see what FABULOUSNESS she created....

Great card, now who would have known that card making could be so dangerous, I'll have to get out my safety glasses and other PPE, cheers Linda
ReplyDeletePS I love using charms and my button snipper is my (very unappreciative) husband's wire cutters.

What a wonderful layout. Love how it looks like a book. Great Idea with the charms, I love converting things to be something different. But I have to disagree with one thing - nothing boring about charms! LOL They simply add something delightful to the creation! Your card being no exception! ;o) Thanks for the inspiration!

PS: I'm in two hops right now, come check them out at Sassy Stuio Designs and at Fred She Said.
What a great idea. I have trouble with brads and cut them off and use them like buttons or pearls. This looks so lovely. I have always liked charms but that's a new way to use them. Hugs, Robin
