Welcome to Mark's Finest Papers a Heinrich Company's
June Blog Hop!
I went with very simple and soft on this card. Kept it pretty masculine-ish! You could TOTALLY use it for a man card.... I used Kraft CS and a bit of striped ribbon just laid underneath the image panel... I don't wrap ribbon around my cards so that it shows when the card is opened, typically as it really drives me nutso... It's like having a tag stick out of your shirt to me... tee hee... ANYWAY.... I colored the image with Memento Inks and my water color pen. The Lighthouse was colored using a White ink pad. It's a quick and easy coloring medium to use and carries that soft illusion that goes with the card!!! :)

ReplyDeleteGreat masculine card! Love the colors that you used as well!
ReplyDeleteLike the nautical feel of this card. Like Kraft cardstock. I like all things Lighthouse. Just entered the Summer challenge again since I so want to win the Lighthouse stamp set being offered to challenge winner. Have visited several Lighthouses. One time when visiting the Lighthouse on TyBee Island off the coast of Savannah, GA the power went out while we were walking up the steps of the lighthouse. They did not charge us admission since they had no power to run our credit card thru and considered the no power a free day.

ReplyDeleteKelliJo--this card is beautiful! I love how you only colored certain areas of the lighthouse scene. And your sewing card from yesterday is so cute. I love the pin cushion in pink. Your bow was the perfect touch. Sorry that I didn't get to comment yesterday, but my BFF's dog is very sick and she was really upset last night. TFS
