C4C192~Hexagons

Can you believe it?  June is all but over... Seriously... STOP THE MADNESS!!!!!!

This week is the last Crazy4Challenges challenge from our awesome hostess Kristine....she challenged us to use Hexagons on our cards.

I had been playing earlier in the week (or month)... with my Twinkling H2O's and created a little colored piece of 12x12 paper that was embossed with flowers (SU retired).  I had some on my desk and thought it would be fun to run it through Raul with my SU! Hexagon EF.  I added a retired sentiment from a SU set and used Crumb Cake CS.  I added a bit of twine to the top and some light yellow pearls on the sentiment block and Viola! :)

Now head on over to C4C and check out the other Hexagon cards that have been created by my Teamies!~!! :)

C4C191~Flip Flop Cards

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!  It's time for another challenge at Crazy4Challenges.  This week we are to make a Flip Flop card... I LOVE me some flip flops, but WAIT... NOT the on your feet kind... the Kind of Flip Flops that are cards that move.... Yep, Sizzix, Spellbinders and SCS Tutorial for self made cards....THAT kind of Flip Flop!

Now I've only played with mine once, and it cut my CS so while watching Stephanie Benard of The Stamps of Life, I saw you have to use a Crease pad on top and not a hard cutting pad.  Ah-HA!  THAT's why I have one! ;)

Anywho... I created my card with the Flower shaped Flip Flop die from Sizzix (another Jeanne made me get it)...

The flower in the center of the flower is from The Cats Pajamas and so is the sentiment! :)

Now hop on over to C4C and get your flip flop on! :)

Head on over to the Your Next Stamp Challenge blog and peek the other projects for today...

Your Next Stamp~Designer Posts~ Stamp Storage Tips!

Hello there!  I'm SUPER Excited to share with you the way I organize my Your Next Stamp, stamps.

Storage can be a big issue and I have tried several methods.  The one I just changed was using CD Cases, I always got them from Staples, popped out the center piece that holds the disc! Well that was great until I broke one of my 6 foot shelves, and go figure Wal Mart changed up their shelves and I can't replace it.  My husband built me little 3 sided steps for the shelves so that I could utilize the whole shelf rather than a bunch of wasted space above.... so NOW I have changed to the Stamping Storage Panels.  I had several when I thought I would use the binders, ummm, hated those as I am a shopper while stamping, it required getting the binder down and flipping pages.  Not what I wanted.  I ran out of the factory made ones so I went and bought a laminating machine.  I use Stampin Up Whisper White CS and a 3mil laminating sheet.  Perfection.

I decided that the best way to approach corralling my obsession with owning stamps was to purchase these bags from a friend, they are AWESOME.  I labeled the windows with my White Gel Pen on Black CS to keep with the feel of the black and white scheme I have going on... forced due to renting! ;)  White White White... UGH, anyway... here they are....

I store all of my stamps in these bags and they are alphabetized by company.  :)  Notice Your Next Stamp has it's own?.... Yes!  ANOTHER reason I had to change from CD Cases! ;)

Here is how I place the stamps onto the panels.

I simply pull out the Your Way Rectangle bag and flip through, I have these stamps organized by type.  Notice this panel is of people... ;)

Here are the Clear Stamps, a bit of ATG on the flap and stick it down...

This is my next project (I'm shopping for a cheaper alternative) I would like to have at least the sentiments stored in these so that when they fall off, sadly yes a few do repeatedly due to size of base on the cling mount, they stay inside the same grouping.

LOL!  Notice my stamp over?  Well, I decided that in order to have the 80's and 70's accessories handy they needed to go here....

Thanks so much for taking the time to read this post and I hope this is helpful to you!  If you have any questions please feel free to contact me! :)
If you are interested in these bags, feel free to contact Chandra **here**

Drunken Stampers and Monty Python

Hey Peeps!  This week we are watching the Holy Grail.  Use a Rabbit... well, I'm NOT a MP Fan, but I do know it's a  bit "off" humor wise, so I made a quirky little card using Your Next Stamps Happy Smiley Critter Crew 3.  I added the polaroid die and the Spring Grass die to my card.  I grabbed up my The Cats Pajamas mustache cut up and added it to the paper pieced (My Minds Eye 6x6 pad) rabbit. Thought this made it look Monty Pythonesque

C4C190~Sketch Time

Hey Peeps!  It's time at Crazy4Challenges for a Sketch!  Kristine killed this one!  I LOVE this sketch, it's a bit intimidating at first but just broke down each layer and I LOVE it!

I used SU! on my card today, the new Gingham Garden DP and the Oh Hello Stamp set.  I left my frame lits over at Julie's house so I used a Nestie, not a perfect fit, but... Not too bad, just proof I NEED to buy that new magnetic plate for metal dies... **drool** no more sliding dies... Anyway, here is my card and the sketch!
Hop on over to the C4C Blog and peep the projects of the other crazies!!!

C4C189~Father's Day

Hey Peeps!  It's time for another challenge at Crazy4Challenges and it's all about Dad!  Father's Day sneaks up on me, and Kristine having us do it early is SMART! ;)  I have a tendency to wonder just WHERE the time went... Life moves too fast!

I created my card using a retired SU set that I bought on the BST thread and a SU Embossing folder.  Some Olive-ish brown net ribbon and colored with my Touch Twin Markers.

Head on over to the blog and peep my peeps!!!!  :)

YNS Fun Friday~NEW THINGS!!!!

Hey Peeps!  It's time for Your Next Stamp FUN FRIDAY!  We are changing the challenges up a bit... it's a SKETCH!  YAY!!!!   I used Grad Owl for my image... it's Graduation time.... the sentiment comes from Birthday Owl.  Now head on over to the YNS Blog and see who all is playing along this week!!!

TCP Layer It On

Woot!  This month Alma has issued the challenge to Layer it on!  Last month was CAS.... (psst... I was the winner!**squee**)

SO, I headed to Sweet Sunday Sketches to look for a Shabby Chic-ish sketch to use.  Shabby Chic is a total layer it on kind of style... I struggle with that look, however I LOVE this card....

I used a plethora of Cut Ups; Heart Swirl, Key to my Heart and Queen of Hearts.  Some fun new Fancy Pants DP and some blingage... of course the SU! Rose ribbon is PERFECTION for Shabby Chic... so I added some of that too! ;)  Reel Experts is where that awesome Sentiment came from! :)

OK, head on over and play along... I gave ya the link! ;)

I used a new release Peachy Keen stamp that had me in FITS when I saw it peeked by Jeanne.  LOVE this lil girlie!!!!

Doodlebug Fruit Stand and Bling were used on my paper pieced card, some fun ribbon and SU! CS!
