Imaginisce Ribbon Cutter

OK, I will freely admit I'm a sucker for gadgets, but... THIS gadget... is AWESOME... seriously!  I purchased a Imaginisce Ribbon Cutter from The Ribbon Carousel and played with it today... I would buy it again... Here are some pictures to show you just how SIMPLE it is to use... I took the pictures and cut the ribbon at the same time... NO COMMENTS about a manicure either... I don't do those.... ANYWAY.... check this out!

 Scissor Cut
 The "gadget"
 Cutting & Sealing ribbon
 See....
and compare.... YES!!!  I'd DEFINITELY buy this again!!!!

PS the Twill Ribbon is found at the SAME PLACE... how's that for convenience! ;)

Stamping Bella Challenge 7,8

I decided to play around in the forums and thus dusted off my Bella Stamps... BellaRiffic Friday..... challenge 7 was a sketch and challenge 8 was to use Polkie dotties...  Here they are using stamps Mo Manning's "Bye Bye Girl" and Itty Bitty Blooms.  the little girl on the trike reminds me of Hailey when she "ran away" at age 3.... tee hee

C4C125 2 layer Challenge

OK, so this struck a bit of fear into one of the crazies, and perhaps I have this ALL WRONG, but it came INSTANTLY to me... TWO LAYERS ONLY~~~ NO Cheating!  LOL  Well, it's only cheating if you get caught right? ;)  BUT... I have some sly peeps on this challenge team so I didn't even try! LOL  I used a BIG Favorite Stamp company of mine from long ago... Rubber Romance!  I love the stylish funky type stamps.  I chose the rain coat girl, no even Rubber Romance is not immune to my renaming their stamps! ;)  I stamped the image onto white CS then again onto a MFT Perfect Paper Panel, colored it with my Touch Twin Markers, ran it through my BSE with a nestie then while still in the nestie I used Weathered Wood TH Distress ink for the gray rainy day sky.  I mounted it onto the card lining it up with a Jody booster then took the negative of the stamped/colored image and placed it over the card and then gave it a little squirt using Goosebumps texture spray for rain.  I'm SO creative ain't I ;)  Thanks for popping by and head on over to the crazies on the blog and check out their cards also and of course come JOIN US!!! :)  Can't wait to see what you create!!!

It's time again, just seems like a few days ago I was loading a challenge card.. LOL  Yep, Wednesday is the "secret" day in the Wednesday Stamp Club for My Favorite Things ;)

Another fabulous sketch and I didn't think that I would be able to play until Sunday, my first day off, but unfortunately I had a Sympathy card to make for a coworker who just lost her husband after a long battle with Cancer. :(  I decided well, this is a GREAT jump off point for such a hard card to make.  Sympathy cards are hard for me, as it hurts my heart... I decided to venture into a land that I don't typically visit for Sympathy cards although I have seen several that have a bit of color or are loaded with color for Sympathy cards I tend to stick to only black and white... well, I used some Stormy Sky and Weathered Wood Tim Holtz Distress ink to highlight my Inspired By Lighthouses stamp set.  I used one of the first Dienamics MFT released, Framed Greetings,  for my sentiment flag at the top and only cut half of it, I've seen this recently in the MFT Gallery also...  Kasiercraft DP was used along with a Zva bling that my friend Kate sent to me.  I am REALLY going to miss my Kaisercraft pad when it's gone... I'll have to try and remember where I got it at and pick up 3 or 4 more! LOL

Take care and thanks for visiting and leaving me comments, it really makes me smile!!! :)

TCP 198 Color Challenge

GUESS WHAT???  I was the Swanky Stamper last week with THIS card.... YAY!!!!!  :)

Now THIS week we are challenged by Lori Tecler to a color challenge over at The Cat's Pajama's... I knew instantly that paper piecing WARM FUZZIES was what I was going to do (and Lordy oh my did I paper piece).  Her Face and boots are colored with Touch Twin markers and the little blue bird was flocked...other than that double and triple layers of paper piecing...

I MUST admit to this, LOL, I was all done, in the process of loading my card, went to get the link to the color challenge and **gasp** I think Lori changed the colors on me after I started my card... tee hee!  Yes I made my card with Mossy Green, Mint Green and Pink. It was VERY cute, but alas, it wasn't supposed to be mint green after all... but AQUA! SO... quick like a bunny I ran back upstairs used my Heart Trio Cut Up die and some AQUA paper and AQUA Twine and fixed it.  I must say that small POP of color made this a GREAT card!  LOVE IT!!!!  SO... ready for the challenge color que and my card?  Here they are:

Now why don't you come and play along in this color challenge.  Get those Spring/Easter cards done ahead of time... ;)

It's sketch time again at SFYTT, I'm SO glad that we have a whole MONTH to complete these... LOL    Your Next Stamp is the sponsor, and I just happen to have a stamp from there! ;)

I am using Jenny Suchin's Love is In the Air.  Hailey is a Giraffe NUT, in fact we bought her a 5 piece luggage set in Giraffe Print for when she goes to Paris in 40 days.... YIKES!  It's SUPER CLOSE!!!!  Anyway... Here is the sketch for February.
.

And here is my Card!!!

Inside using some dienamics and split inking... I used my scissors! ;)

These are the Touch Twin Markers I used as I am going to enter this card into the Touch Twin Challenges also...

Thanks for looking!!!

Sketch time at MFT.  This is from Clearly Sentimental about Friendship.  I wanted to shout out to my Bestest Buddy Kate!  ALWAYS there for me.... Papers are from Kaiser Craft.  Pearls are from Recollections. Tag at the bottom is a Dienamic called Mix and Match Banners.

TCPTues197

Alma and crew have challenged us this week to create something but NOT a card.  This is called ABAC (Anything But a Card)... I LOVE seeing people's creations and this is sometimes my Achilles' heel. LOL  But I found this tin stashed amongst my crafting supplies still wrapped in the plastic to stay fresh... Girl Scout Mints... from last year ;)  they are still fine, trust me ;)  I used some SU DP and PTI CS to create this tin, along with a couple types of ribbon to accent in red.... TCP Cut Ups Heart Rosette, Heart Trio and Icing along with the CUTE little sheep from TCP called Sheepish  .

Here's my creation :)  Now back to that tin. Gotta make double sure they are still fresh.... ;)

C4C124 Stripes and Polkie Dotties

Our Sponsor this week is the SUPER AWESOME creation from my friend Corinna... THE RIBBON CAROUSEL!!!  I personally own 4 and have 2 more coming... COUPONS FRIENDS!!!  Corinna always has a special, in fact she is partying it up and has a coupon posted for your use!!!!!  Here is a picture of MY Carousels...

Now, about the challenge... Polkie Dotties and stripes...Crazy, umm, I think NOT!  Perhaps that is why I fit right in here... Yep, Lynda chose this challenge and threw it down as a use Stripes and Polka Dots together.  Well, lemme tell you what... tee hee... I LOVE Stripes and Polkie Dotties together and I needed to make my cards for the monthly Christmas card challenge, so this works as a 2-fer.  Yep, I made 6 of these.  I used some old PTI DP from a few years ago and a Paper Smooches sentiment.  Some MFT Dienamics ( Jumbo Scallop, and scalloped scallop) some red baby bradies and PTI CS... Viola!  6 more cards for Christmas 2012 and my C4C Challenge card complete!  Easy Peasy... I think the crazies are takin it easy on me being a newbie, so far the challenges haven't fried my brain... but I KNOW they will shortly! ;)  Anywho, here is my card and head on over to the C4C Challenge blog and play along!  Great Fun!!!!

My Favorite Things...Sketch Challenge Time... the sketch looked REAL intimidating, but man, it goes together smoothly.  LOVE it, I will be using this one again for sure! ;)

I chose the new Ring Me Dienamic/Stamp set for my card.  I fell in LOVE with this dienamic after day 1 peek on Bar's blog.  The Flower accent is using the new Botanical Beauty dienamic.  I took my cue from Lisa H's AWESOME flower using phone book pages, that was SUCH an AWESOME idea... I just had to do it, I mean, makes perfect sense right?    KaiserCraft DP from a black and white pad, MM brad from my buddy Yoorah, glitter paper for my phone from my buddy Kate and some black baby braddies.  Seriously I am IN LOVE with this card.  Black and White is such a major eye pleaser for me... All dimension provided by Jody's boosters.  The phone is highlighted by the new Vertical Greetings Dienamic.   The sentiment is "Lotsa Love" which came in a VIP kit last year.

TCP196 Spring Yet?

This week for The Cat's Pajamas Challenge we are to do a rainbow.  I went with a Spring Rainbow ;)  Pastels.  Using my new Cut Ups and the sentiment from Warm Fuzzies, I created this Spring scene. Papers are from Lime Twist, Echo Park and Jilly Bean Soup.  Grass die and flat bottom cloud dies were also used from MFT.  The white ribbon can be found at the Ribbon Carousel.

C4C 123 Sketch Challenge

Hello all, sorry for my tardiness.  I had to leave town in a hurry the other day as I found out my Dad had a heart attack.  Needless to say a bunch of clothes got thrown into a bag and off I went for a 5 hour drive.  I am home now and played catch up.  I made this card after looking at the sketch.  TODAY while loading I read (and now remember) it's to make a card for someone you love and mail it... well, guess what?  It STILL works!  LOL  I used the C4C123 sketch for my card using My Minds Eye Happy Hearts and Paper Smooches Healthy Vibes.  The little flowery hearts on the DP reminded me of those little amoeba germ thingies I stamped! ;)

The Germ's eyes were coated with some glossy ink pen to give them a bit of pop!  Whispers ink (old ink pad set) pink was my ink along with Tim Holtz Antique linen for the sentiment.  The Cat's Pajama's twine wrapped around finished it off. Dimension provided by Jody's boosters.

Making a Scene C4C122

Here we are with the first Crazy 4 Challenges challenge of February.  Make a Scene is the challenge thrown down by Lynda!  I just got this CUTE lil bunny from The Cat's Pajama's called Oh Chute!  *giggling* He is one cute bunny, those big floppy ears...I decided to have him floating above some rolling hills amongst the clouds.  a bit of Stickles were added to the clouds and grass and then I used a small flower punch from SU and made it curl using my Stylus and added a pearl in the center of each flower and then added them at the bottom of my Fence die.  A touch of Tim Holtz "Rays" embossing folder for a bit of sun.  Dots Embossing folders on the clouds add a bit of fun and whimsy!  Now head on over to the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and come play along and MAKE A SCENE! ;)

MFTGuest DT February 2012

It's that time of the month again.  MFT has a Guest Designer Challenge and this month it's called "Stamp Your Heart Out" well, there is very little stamping on this card but 100% of my heart went into it.  I'm calling this Whimsically Vintage!  LOL  I used a TON of MFT Die-Namics on this card... Layered Heart , Well Worn Greetings , By The Letters , Solid Bracket , Open Bracket , Fancy Flourish and the Hearts a Plenty dienamics.  MFT Felt in Bubblegum and Black, I had forgotten that the Wild Cherry was out of stock when I placed my order and thought I had some.... NOPE! SO, not being one to give up, I became resourceful... Yup, not being one that uses the re-usable grocery bags other than to carry things to the Post Office in my freebie from WalGreen's had to become my "felt"...it provided another type of texture though so it's all good.  I cut the hearts and the x's out twice for each spot and glued them together using Helmar's  Craft Glue.  The frame for the tic-tac-toe was with the Solid Bracket. To get the Tic Tac Toe game up above to balance the doubled ribbon I used Helmar's Scrap Dots a liquid 3D glue... cool stuff...  All paper is LilyBee Head over Heels.  Some lace and ribbon from May Arts layered up.  Inside the sentiment comes from Clearly Sentimental About Love. The Ric Rac had to be stained using TH Stain in Antique Linen and then a Prima Pearl and Rose flourish was added to the big heart in the background.

OK, ready for my card????  EEEK!!!  I am LOVING this card... OK, here it is....

TCPTues195~KelliJo

Leigh O'Brien is in charge of this weeks challenge for The Cat's Pajama's.  GREAT Sketch... I used my Presto stamp set. I also used Hearts Cut Ups and some little metal keys for embellies.  Valentine Twine from the Ribbon Carousel to hang my Fishtail Banners on.

MFTWSC57

On a roll... woot woot!!!!  I created this card for the weekly My Favorite Things Sketch challenge.
This card uses the ULTRA cute Pure Innocence Pucker Up and the sentiment from Emma Blowing Kisses (retired).  The little Sugar Lips sign was paper piece.  the nail head and her buttons are glossy pen, and Spica pens used on the pony holders, barrette, lemonade glass and pitcher.  Touch Twin markers were used to color this image, I am loving those markers!!!!! Some older Amuse DP was also used, amazing what you find when you clean your craft room ;)
